I have spent more than 9 years working with kids from infants to school-aged children in child care settings. I have three children ages 5, 3 and 2 with my husband Keith. We also have been foster parents in the past to infants and preschool children. We have a shy little cat named Deedee who comes out at naptime to check out why everyone is so quiet!
Keith was born in Edmonton and I am from Montana. We were married in 1997, and we lived in Idaho before moving back to Edmonton in 2007.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a second major in Psychology from Montana State University- Bozeman. This put me at child care level 2, now called the Alberta's Childcare Worker certificate. Both my husband and I have completed Child Care First Aid/CPR certifications, Police Security Background checks and Child Welfare Intervention checks. We have also taken the caregiver courses for Foster Parenting in both Idaho and Alberta.
